Many veteran anglers think that the huge influx of sand eels bodes well for striped bass fishing for the rest of the summer. Calling the current fishing conditions in the Housatonic River slow, would be like calling Joba Chamberlain’s debut as a Yankee starter unimpressive. The good reports come from Bantam Lake, Lake Saltonstall, Candlewood Lake, East Twin Lake in Salisbury. read more
