Here in the Lehigh Valley, anglers are enjoying very good trout fishing thanks to recent fall stockings by the Fish and Boat Commission. He put 1,000 of the trout in Leaser Lake and the remaining 900 into Little Lehigh Creek. Other productive trout waters in the area include Lake Minsi, Monocacy Creek, Bushkill Creek and Kaercher Creek Dam. Those seeking freshwater species other than trout should consider heading to Lake Wallenpaupack, where northern pike and pickerel activity has been high, or Peck’s Pond, where pickerel, largemouth bass and panfish are biting a variety of live bait.
