Anglers are still catching good numbers of smallmouth bass in the Lehigh River and Lake Wallenpaupack, but largemouth bass action has dwindled at Mauch Chunk Lake, Lake Nockamixon and Lake Ontelaunee. Night fishing for catfish is decent at Nockamixon, Ontelaunee and Blue Marsh, and trout action is excellent in the Little Lehigh, Saucon and Monocacy creeks, thanks to a bonus stocking conducted Wednesday by the state Fish and Boat Commission.
