Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Justin Lucas won the FLW Series National Guard Western Division Fishing Tournament held last week on the Columbia River in Washington. Lucas, a 21-year-old Folsom resident who graduated from Folsom High in 2004, caught 15 bass over three days, weighing 34 pounds, 8 ounces, to win the tournament by five pounds. Trailing by three pounds heading into the final day of competition, Lucas had a big final day, catching his limit early and then looking for bigger fish the rest day. This is the first year of the FLW Series National Guard Western Division and Lucas is second in the point standings with one tournament remaining next month on Clear Lake.
