Garland Villines at Hickory Creek Marina said black bass are hitting buzz baits at sunrise and sunset on the edges of the shoreline cover. On the lake side of Beaver Dam, Garich said catfish are biting blood bait in White Bass Cove, which is the bay on the north side of the dam. Crappie are hitting minnows, jigs or Roadrunners 4 to 10 feet deep. Bluegill fishing is fair with worms 15 to 18 feet deep near brush. At Grand Lake, black bass are good on plastic worms, crank baits, top-water lures and spinner baits along points.
