Calgary is in Western Canada about 90 miles east of the Rockies. The Bow River flows through the centre of the city and is a great trout fishing venue. Temperatures are in the 15 C to 30 C (55F - 86F) range in summer and -30 C to 5C (-22F to 45F) in the winter. We get about 18ins of precipitation a year, 9 inches of rain and 9 inches snow.
