Fishing the Kinonge is much like spot casting Ontario’s Wilmot creek, except instead of migrating steelhead, the Kinonge runs rampant with two species of bass. Between the boating, fishing and visiting the fish hatchery, my Kenauk trip was the perfect way to celebrate the opening of bass season and spend time in the great outdoors with the family. Conservation officers from the MNR Pembroke District have laid several charges against three Southern Ontario men, after finding them in possession of walleye over the daily catch limit. COs apprehended the men on June 16 and found them in possession of at least 10 fish over the legal limit for walleye, including 36 unidentifiable skinless fillets.
